Toronto FC extended their unbeaten streak to seven games and climbed to the top of the east thanks to a road win over Orlando City.
The Opening 45 Tosaint Ricketts drew blood early when he beat Tommy Reading to a throw by Sebastian Giovinco in the 7th minute to give Toronto a 1-0 lead. Some solid defending and goalkeeping kept Orlando City (Cyle Larin especially) from trying the game up early.
Top 'O the table to you!

#TFC has been scoring on 44% of their chances during this run. League avg is 30%. That's probably unsustainable. — Rob Lowe (@LoweDownStats) August 25, 2016

The Second Half Larin was finally able to get Orlando City on the scoreboard in the second half when he headed the ball passed Alex Bono. Toronto's defense seemed unaware he was in there. Despite a great number of chances, ex-Toronto keeper Joe Bendik seemed unbeatable until Jozy Altidore was able to get passed him and put the ball in the net. Toronto was able to hold on for the win and rose to the top of the east with it. Man of the Match Jozy Altidore
Since his return, Altidore has been on fire for Toronto with 5 goals. Even as a sub, he is very much making himself known on the pitch and his game winner was a solid example of how good he can be.
